HOT TAP & LINE STOP FITTINGS
Split Tees or T-Shape Fittings; are the necessary elements for Hot Tap & Line Stop, which are used to perform the direct access to the interior of the pipeline. They are manufactured to modify the integrity of the piping system at any facility.
Supply fittings ranging from 2 through 72, ANSI 150 through 2500 (RF-FTJ), ASME code requirements B31.3, B31.4 and B.31.8, with standard design factors of 0.72 or other, standard tee material A22 Grade WPB or WPC with A105 Flange. Other configurations are available to meet customer requirements and specific line materials.
BENEFITS OF THE PROCEDURE
Integrity Assurance is a thickness measurement procedure with Scan C, to verify pipe condition, rule out laminations, calculate safe welding pressure and that in turn.
INSPECTION AND WELDING OF SPLIT TEE
During the welding process as required by API 1104, Appendix B, an inspection must be performed at the first pass, which can be with penetrating liquids or magnetic particles, and at the presentation ultrasound is performed, ideally 24 hours after finishing the welding.
